Over the past time, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and their member organizations actively took care of the poor with many meaningful activities, contributing to the local social welfare work and poverty reduction goals. On the occasion of the 2022 peak month for the poor, Binh Duong Newspaper had an interview with Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee about a number of related contents.

- What’s your assessment about the results achieved in the task of mobilization for the local Fund "For the Poor" over the past time?

- As the standing body of the Mobilization Board for the "Day for the Poor, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have stepped up the task of propagandizing and mobilizing organizations, businesses and people to join hands in taking care of and helping the poor. The receipt and use of the Fund "For the Poor" is always open and transparent, thereby creating trust among individuals, agencies, units and organizations. The mobilization to develop the local Fund "For the Poor" has always achieved high results.

In 2022, due to the long-lasting effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the mobilization for the local Fund "For the Poor" has also faced certain difficulties. Over the past 9 months,  the province’s 3-level Fund "For the Poor" reached more than VND 10.39 billion, including more than VND4.7 billion from provincial level, more than VND2.6 billion from district level and more than VND3 billion from communal level. The support resources of individuals, agencies, units and organizations to provincial Fund "For the Poor" and its branches are very important. From these support resources, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have implemented many activities to support the poor such as building and repairing “great unity” houses, supporting capital for business and production, giving necessities, providing free medical check-up and medicine for the poor, awarding scholarships to poor-but-excellent students..., helping them overcome difficulties, rise to get a more and more stable life.

- In order to mobilize more resources in the society to further take care of the poor, how will the 2022 provincial Peak Month for the Poor be implemented?

- The requirement set out in this peak month is to continue promoting the results of helping the poor, the tradition of solidarity and "mutual love and affection" of people from all strata, organizations, businesses, and donors, joining hands to help the poor improve their lives. Along with that, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will coordinate with their member organizations to propagandize their results of helping the poor as well as the results of their participation in mobilizing and contributing to the local Fund for the Poor and social welfare programs. Activities must have a consistent coordination between the Standing Board of the Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations at all levels to avoid overlap in mobilization and support for the poor.

In the situation that the Covid-19 pandemic is still complicated with new mutations, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels together with the "Day for the Poor" Mobilization Board at the same level, based on the actual situation, set up and implement plans to organize the Peak Month "For the Poor" 2022,  further mobilizing and supporting the Fund "For the Poor" while guiding subordinates to coordinate in mobilizing and building funds, implementing the contents of taking care of the poor under the contents and objects of the working regulations at each level.

 The mobilization, contribution and support for the poor will be organized in the whole year of 2022, in which the peak will be from October 17 to November 18, 2022.

- To mobilize more resources to implement programs to help the poor and "leave no one behind", please tell us more about key solutions proposed by provincial Mobilization Board for the "Day for the Poor" in the coming time?

- In order to mobilize more resources to implement programs to help the poor reduce difficulties and have a chance to get out of poverty sustainably, provincial Mobilization Boards for the "Day for the Poor" at all levels should actively and proactively coordinate with agencies, units, political and social organizations to promote propaganda about the purpose, meaning and results of the campaign; results of supporting the poor; honor organizations, individuals and businesses that have supported the poor; encourage and praise families rising up out of poverty while further calling and mobilizing people, businesses, agencies and units to participate in supporting provincial Fund "For the Poor" in 2022, with the highest sense of responsibility and affection so that this meaningful movement will spread throughout the society and achieve good results.

With the tradition of solidarity, gratitude plus sharing love, "sharing efforts for the poor - Leaving no one behind", every Binh Duong citizen should support the poor with the most practical actions in the spirit of "mutual love, mutual love", "good leaves protect torn ones". First of all, everyone needs to actively participate in supporting the Fund "For the Poor", giving them more motivation and faith to rise up in life and "not let no one be left behind”. I believe that, if each authority, sector, agency, unit, enterprise and citizen of Binh Duong make efforts to join hands for the poor, the campaign to support the construction of the local Fund "For the poor" will continue spreading and achieving higher results.
