Nguyen Van Thien honored as scientist of farmers

The Association of Vietnamese Farmers has coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations to hold the ceremony to honor 68 ‘scientists of farmers’. Attending the ceremony was Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee for Mobilization Truong Thi Mai and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

In this honor, Master Nguyen Van Thien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock Company (BIWASE) was honored with many important contributions in the field of clean water supply, waste water and waste collection and treatment, applying modern technologies to recycle waste to create many useful products for life such as: organic fertilizers, pavement tiles, and construction materials.

By the non-landfill domestic waste treatment technology, BIWASE has especially perfected the technology of composting and recovering biogas for electricity generation and fertilizer production, which are both for saving costs and ensuring the environment. Typically organic fertilizer brand of "Con Voi Binh Duong" has been favored by farmers from the central provinces, the South East, and the South West of Vietnam who, choose to use for export orchards, industrial crops, and rice whic always have high yield.
