On November 26, 2024, the Government Office issued Document 8726/VPCPKGVX sent to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs regarding the Lunar New Year holiday and several public holidays in 2025. Accordingly, in Document 8726/VPCPKGVX of 2024, the Prime Minister expressed his views on the plan for the Lunar New Year holiday and other public holidays in 2025 as follows:
- Approve the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in the above-mentioned documents regarding the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, and the exchange of working days during the holidays of Victory Day on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025. During the Lunar New Year 2025, officials, civil servants, and employees will have a continuous holiday of 9 days, consisting of 5 days for the holiday and 4 days for the weekly break. (from January 25 to February 2, 2025 which is from the 26th of lunar December to the end of the 5th day of lunar January).
- Agencies and units should arrange and organize their response teams according to regulations and work reasonably to ensure continuous workflow, providing good service to organizations and citizens. It is emphasized to assign officials and civil servants to be on alert to handle unexpected incidents that may occur during the New Year and holiday breaks as regulated.
