Nobody has rights to tarnish regime, distort history

Update: 26-08-2013 | 00:00:00
After indomitable insurrections, national aspiration for independence came true on color of gold-starred red flags of the August Revolution. Democratic Republic Vietnam, which was the first people democratic nation in Asia, was born.  President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square in Ha Noi on September 2nd 1945 On September 2nd 1945, in the newly liberated Ha Noi, President Ho Chi Minh declared solemnly to the world: “All nations in the world are equal as born, every nation has rights to live, to be happy, has freedom to be in pursuit of happiness. A nation struggled bravely against slavery yoke of France in more than 80 years, followed Allied force against fascism in many years, this nation has to be free, independent. Vietnam has the right to be free, independent and in fact, became a liberal, independent country. All Vietnamese people determine to use all spirits, forces, lives and properties to hold firm to this right”. This declaration was the essence of Vietnamese’s spirit and will, was a proclamation to following generations.Nevertheless, in recent years, at the approach of this great national independence day, there have been many organizations opposing Vietnamese revolution; individuals tarnishing regime, distorting history because of several dissatisfactions of individual interests, temptation from unfriendly media. These days, on foreign websites, there are some articles with allegations slamming regime, denying the Party’s role, distorting the truth so that not only patriotic Vietnamese but also overseas Vietnamese are displeased and criticize. An overseas Vietnamese did not agreed with these allegations and then wrote: A regime pertaining monism or pluralism, is decided by a number of specified factors, especially the correlation between social forces, the context founding leadership, ruling role of the party, achievements people obtained in social development process under that party’s leadership. Applying this to conditions of Vietnam, we can realize the context defining the unique leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party is as following: This is a factor that is totally objective, separate from wills of all political subjects. Leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party is an indispensable process of the national history, not imposed upon the society by anyone. The proper resistance of the Party is a leading flag encouraging, organizing people to fight in long, hard struggling period, like: Dong Xuan battle (1953-1954), Dien Bien Phu campaign, Geneve victory in 1954 and many more until Southern liberation day. The triumph of anti-American resistance war marked the glorious accomplishment of the national revolution under the leadership of Vietnamese Communist Party…The Party’s leadership has become a consistent, constant principle, that is, not only holds firm to the Party’s right political leadership to the State, but also ensures the State’s leadership a makes the State become a new democratic government. A new democratic State means the State congregates, unites the whole nation; becomes a confident common house for all citizens inside and outside Vietnam. This is original creation of Vietnam, associate with Ho Chi Minh’s name and career, and is not like any other governments. An undeniable fact is that, while many longer socialist countries gradually collapsed, socialist Vietnam still stands firmly thanks to correct innovation, people got great achievements praised by many nations. This proved that, the Vietnamese Communist Party an excellent leadership not only in resistance war, but also in national construction in peace time, and even in unpredictable changing international context. Basic reason for people’s achievements is the belief in the Party, determination to implement the Party’s guidelines. The Party does not “colour” themselves to create their role, but that is a political social reality acknowledged from practice. And finally he concluded, dissenters, who are taken advantage by opposing forces, opportunists to conduct a “new democratic revolution” in Vietnam, should look into Egypt. Once the wind of “coloured revolution” went by, the joy of the “imported democracy” faded out suddenly, leaving a unstable society, conflicts between factions, daily occur of deaths in a country as a cradle of human civilization!Celebrating the 68th August Revolution Day and National Independence Day (September 2nd), facing allegations tarnishing regime, distorting history, we can recognize the important role of the Party over periods and affirm that, nobody has the right to tarnish regime, distort history, because it is contrary to people’s aspiration, and is guilty about people and nation.Reported by Le Quang – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
