Decision 245/BHXH-CSYT on guiding some contents of healthcare on health insurance cards has been just launched to non-State hospitals and clinics by the provincial Social Insurance.

According to the Vietnam Social Insurance’s Document 245/BHXH-CSYT dated Jan. 18, 2012 and Binh Duong provincial Social Insurance’s Document 543/BHXH-GDBHYT dated Feb. 4, 2012, from Feb. 15, 2012 all non-State hospitals and clinics will be not allowed to involve in health insurance treatment under different lines. If the health insurance card holders treat diseases at non-state hospitals and clinics, they must pay 100% of treatment expenses. After that they arrive at the provincial Social Insurance to retake 70% of treatment expenses.
According to the document, technical services implemented by doctors doing overtime at non-state hospitals will be not pay treatment expenses.
