North Tan Uyen district: Agricultural and forestry production value of the first 6 months to be estimated at VND817 billion

According to North Tan Uyen district People's Committee, agricultural and forestry production value of the first 6 months of 2015 reach VND817 billion, increasing 3.4% compared to the last year, completing 41.29% of annual plan. Farming accounted for 83.76%, breeding 16.24%. Up to June, the annual total area of planted crops was 2,280 hectares. The district also had 30 pig farms with more than 58,000 ones, 22 chicken farms with more than 1.6 million ones, and nearly 2,000 buffaloes and cows.

According to North Tan Uyen district People's Committee, provincial agricultural and forestry production value of the first 6 months increased but was not high. The reason was the long sunny weather, thus prices of some agricultural commodities fell, affecting incomes and life of farmers.
