North Tan Uyen district to bring warm spring to everyone

In recent years, the work of taking care of policy beneficiaries and vulnerable groups on Tet festival in North Tan Uyen district has received attention and been well done by all levels and branches of the district. During this Lunar New Year 2022, the district has planned and prepared very early gifts and lots of care and concern to bring a warm and happy spring to policy families, poor and disadvantaged people in the area.

 Tet comes early to vulnerable people

The 2022 Lunar New Year is coming, localities in North Tan Uyen district are putting more effort to mobilize donations, organize visits and give Tet gifts to people who are eligible to protecting regimes and policies of the Government. These activities have helped bringing a joyful and warm Tet festival to every home, especially to the vulnerable.

In his newly built house with the wafting smell of paint, Vu Nhu Y (living in hamlet 1, Lac An commune) was very emotional and happy. Y is sick due to debilitating illness, his wife weaves rattan bamboo fans, hence the family is often economically deprived. Local government and the district Military Command understood the difficult circumstance of Y, thus supported the construction of a spacious house for his family. In which, the the district Military Command mobilized donations and presented 80 million VND. In the near future, Y and his whole family will have a warmer Lunar New Year in their new house.

Along with the joy of Y and his family, there are also 3 disadvantaged households in the district that were supported by the district's Fatherland Front Committee to build new houses with the amount of 80 million VND each. This was one of a series of activities to take care of the disadvantaged in the district so that everyone could have a heartwarming and joyful Tet. In order to have a happy Tet festival in every house, the district has also carried out many activities to take care of the disadvantaged. Namel, the Fatherland Front from the district to grassroots level has consolidated campaign committees of Fund for the Poor.

In 2021, the Fatherland Front of communes and towns mobilized more than 4.1 billion VND; repaired four houses of great solidarity and gratitude houses worth 140 million VND; maintained "Compassionate Rice Jar" to mobilize unexpected support for social protection beneficiaries, mobilized and donated 1.35 tons of rice. The activities have contributed to the reduction of poor households according to the new criteria of the district, improving living standards of the people.

According to Vo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Vice Chairwoman of North Tan Uyen district Fatherland Front Committee, the whole district has 203 poor households and 131 near-poor households. In addition to activities taking care of Tet holiday for those in the area, on January 21, the district's Fatherland Front Committee will organize the handover of two great solidarity houses in Loc An commune, Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province.

To bring Tet to everyone

In order for everyone to enjoy a happy Tet, North Tan Uyen district has mobilized and received Tet gifts from organizations, individuals and delegations to visit and give gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, near-poor households and children having extremely difficult circumstances in the area on the Lunar New Year 2022. Specifically, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs Office of the district will establish delegations to visit and give gifts to policy beneficiaries in the district; cooperate with provincial leaders to visit and give gifts directly to 5 policy beneficiaries in Tan My commune, 35 poor households (16 households in Thuong Tan commune, 7 households in Tan My commune, 12 households in Lac An commune) and 20 children having extremely difficult circumstances in Lac An commune (10 children in Thuong Tan commune, 10 children in Tan My commune).

The district Labor Confederation also checked and made a list of workers having extremely difficult circumstances and being unable to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet, and poor workers having extremely difficult circumstances with Binh Duong permanent residence, and send a request to the district Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Office for visits and give gifts to these people.

The district Labor Confederation also cooperated with the District Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Office, Youth Union, and Women's Union to visit and give gifts to workers living far from home, having difficult circumstances and being unable to return to their hometown to celebrate Te; poor workers having difficult circumstances with permanent residence registration in Binh Duong, and Youth Union Secretaries who are workers, heads of Young Workers' Clubs and Young Women's Lodging House Clubs.

Do Ngoc Loi, Secretary of North Tan Uyen District Youth Union, said that the union enhanced the implementation of socialization in taking care of the material and spiritual life of children and young workers who cannot return to their hometown on Tet holiday. Activities that took place from January 23 to January 29 include: Program "Spring of love"; program "Warm Spring in Border area" at Loc An Border Guard Station, Loc Ninh District, Binh Phuoc Province; the program "Tet meal" to takes care of young workers who cannot return to their hometown to celebrate Tet; the program "Spring bus to share difficulties" to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic; The program "To bid farewell to young workers returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet"…

According to Tran Van Phuong, Vice Chairman of North Tan Uyen District People's Committee, with the desire that every policy family, people with meritorious services to the revolution, social protection beneficiaries, and disadvantaged households would all enjoy a joyful and warm Tet, on the occasion of the 2022 Lunar New Year, North Tan Uyen district prepared these activities very early. In particular, the district People's Committee directed Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Office to advise and set up district leadership delegations to visit Vietnamese heroic mothers, policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and people having difficult circumstances in the district.

In addition, the district People's Committee also directed units, branches, mass organizations, communes and townships to coordinate in visiting and giving gifts to policy families, people with meritorious services having extremely difficult circumstances, poor households, social protection groups and beneficiaries, disadvantaged children, poor workers cannot return to their hometown to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.

Phuong added, it is expected that this year the district budget would spend more than 2.4 billion VND on giving more than 3,300 Tet gifts to people, who are Vietnamese heroic mothers, beneficiaries of policies, beneficiaries of social protection, poor households, officials of the education sector, health sector and having extremely difficult circumstances, poor workers having extremely difficult circumstances, who cannot afford returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet... “According to the plan, Tet care activities will end before January 27. Hopefully, with the attention and thoughtful care of all levels, branches, unions, every house and everyone in the area would have a comfortable and peaceful Tet”, said Phuong.
