North Tan Uyen marks Vietnam’s Population Day

*Art performance in celebration of Vietnam’s Population Day held in Phu Giao

Early December 25, North Tan Uyen district held a get-together to mark Vietnam’s Population Day (December 26) and review the local Target Program on Population-Family Planning in 2014.

The district’s Steering Board of the Target Program on Population and Family Planning in 2014 attached special importance to communication campaigns, thereby creating a strong change in awareness and action of residents in carrying out the Party and State’s policies on population-family planning; improved the contents and methods of implementing the program for better results.

On this occasion, the Steering Board also awarded the mementoes “For the Cause of Population” of Minister of Health to 9 individuals; the certificates of merit of provincial Health Department to 1 collective, 10 individuals and 22 hamlets for their good performance in the task of 2014 population and family planning; the certificates of merit of the district’s People’s Committee to 3 collectives and 10 individuals.

*The same day, Phu Giao district’s Health Center held an art performance in celebration of Vietnam’s Population Day (December 12) and the National Action Month on Population.

The program aimed to speed dissemination of information about the Party and State’s policies on population-family planning among people from all strata; enhance skills of those who are in charge of population and family plan field, thereby contributing to successfully realizing the local targets on population and family planning.
