Early June 23, North Tan Uyen’s People’s Committee convened its 27th meeting to approve the local report on socio-economic performance, national defence-security in the first half of 2016 and extend major tasks for the rest of the year.
Over the past six months, the district’s agro-forestry production value was estimated at VND845billion, representing a surge of 3.39% against the same period last year. The local value of craft industrial, industrial production reached more than 1.3trillion, up 12.54% compared to the same period last year while the total retail sales of commodities and services gained approximately VND890billion, up 13.14% over the same period last year. The district also well realized policies on social welfare.
In addition, the district obtained positive results in the domains of education and health. Many cultural-sports were also organized, basically meeting locals’ demand for entertainment. The district continued maintaining social safety and order; ensured absolute safety on Tet, great holidays and especially for the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.
The district will continue directing the serious and synchronous implementation of measures on socio-economic development, political security and social order maintenance.
