Number of workers returning to work on New Year's Day increases

As of noon on February 4, a review by the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs found that more than 1,900 enterprises, employing about 450,000 workers, had returned to work after the Tet holidays.

Among them, many enterprises had a very high rate of employees returning to work, such as: Showa Gloves Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park) had 1,714/1,714 employees, reaching 100%; Kurabe Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park) had 2,734/2,734 employees, reaching 100%; Phuc Can Industrial Co., Ltd. (Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park) had 838/864 employees, reaching 96.99%; Uni - President Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Song Than 2 Industrial Park) had 1,130/1,202 employees, reaching 94%... The percentage of businesses with employee return rates of 95-100% after Tet is about 20% of all enterprises.

According to the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, this year the number of businesses and workers returning to work on New Year's Day is about 4% higher than before. The employment situation at enterprises will stabilize and increase after February 5. On the first day of the Lunar New Year, workers who attended work received lucky money from their companies. The Tet lucky money for union members and employees ranged from 100,000 to 8,000,000 VND per person, fostering a joyful and exciting atmosphere to celebrate the start of the new year.
