Offering help to over 96,000 needy people

Provincial Red Cross Society in the first half of 2016 mobilized organizations and individuals to take care of the elderly, the disabled, the poor, Agent Orange victims…As a result, 96,032 needy people were helped during the period.

Under the movement of “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims”, provincial Red Cross Society presented 49,860 Tet gifts worth VND16.8billion to disadvantaged people. The campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” also offered help of more than VND1.6bln to 1,133 humanitarian addresses. In addition, the society supported nearly VND24.7bln for 37,836 disadvantaged people.

The society also teamed up with provincial Buddhist Sangha’s charity board to visit and present 300 gifts worth VND120mln to the poor in Cambodia’s Kandal province.
