*Since early this year, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have built 20 houses of compassion and upgraded 14 others for the poor with a total expense of nearly VND800mln. 

*Phu Loi ward’s Red Cross Society has just donated 32 gifts to poor-but-excellent pupils with a total expense of nearly VND7mln.

In the first half of the year, the whole society mobilized 16 individuals and organizations to provide allowances of more than VND33.8mln for 28 extremely difficult people; provided free medical check-ups and medicine for 165 turns of people with a total expense of more than VND8mln… The society’s Club for Volunteers also offered help of VND33.6mln to 112 needy people.

So far, the society has effectively maintained many social charity models, contributing to taking care of the material and spiritual lives of the local disadvantaged people.
