Every May, millions of Vietnamese people rejoice with pride and gratitude feelings to Uncle Ho, want to offer him the most beautiful flowers on his birthday. Agencies and units in the province have organized many unique and attractive cultural and artistic activities to celebrate this day.

To remember 5 things taught by Uncle Ho

To commemorate the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023), Provincial Public Security’s mass art troupe practiced together and took part in the 12th People’s Public Security mass art festival 2023 - Region 3, which was held by Ministry of Public Security. Through this festival, Binh Duong provincial police officers felt even more proud of Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the nation and the profession they have chosen.

After the festival, Captain Kieu Nguyen Van Anh, deputy head of police station of An Son commune (Thuan An city), said that the festival had many performances that gave viewers deep feelings. Engraved with Uncle Ho’s teachings, Provincial Public Security’s mass art troupe performed their best to portray and spread the beautiful image of police officers in people’s hearts, contributing to building a strong-minded police force, excellently completing requirements and tasks assigned in the new situation.

The festival has 22 Public Security’s mass art troupes, units, and localities with 103 performances. The Provincial Public Security’s mass art troupe made a program called "Binh Duong police engrave Uncle's teachings" with five performances: Dance “Lá chắn thép” (Iron Shield), “vọng cổ” solo singing “Vẫn còn anh vì bình yên cuộc sống” (Still have you for peace of life), duet “Về phía những ước mơ” (Towards dreams), traditional musical instrument performance “Miền Nam nhớ mãi ơn Người” (The South remembers Uncle Ho’s name forever), singing and dancing "People's Public Security - The seasons of triumphal flowers”. At the end of the festival, the provincial CA mass art troupe won the C prize for the whole group, two B prizes and two C prizes for the performances.

With a desire to offer Uncle Ho the most beautiful artistic flowers on his 133rd birthday, Mãi Xanh Club under to Culture and Information Office of Thuan An City and Thuan An City Culture Information - Sports Center cooperated to hold a cultural exchange program "Forever green singing". Nguyen Thi Hai, Chairman of Mãi Xanh Club, excitedly said that the program attracted 14 units with nearly 30 performances. With great love for President Ho Chi Minh, many units prepared carefully, so there were many special and meaningful performances, most of which are to celebrate Uncle Ho's birthday with songs praising his life and career.

On May 17, Party Committee of Phu Hoa Ward (Thu Dau Mot City) held an cultural art contest with the theme "Praise the motherland; Communist Party of Vietnam; praise the great Uncle Ho" associated with the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle in 2023. At the program, there were 22 performances (single, duet, group singing) from 22 branches in the area. Trinh Thi Ngoc Bich, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Phu Hoa Ward, said the contest is a socio-political activity to promote the emulation movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, shows patriotism, encourages self-discipline to study and practice Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle among party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, and people.

On this occasion, Culture, Information and Sports Center of Di An City also held a cultural program at the city square on the evening of May 18. With the theme "Brightening the name of Ho Chi Minh", the program brought moments of joyful and useful music enjoyment through performances of the center’s mass art team. In addition, there were modern music performances, comedies by singers, actors, artists from Ho Chi Minh City.

Morning May 19, at Binh Duong Fine Arts and Culture Intermediate School, a preliminary summary and awarding ceremony was held for literary and artistic works of the studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle competition (phase I, 2021-2025 period). According to Provincial Literature and Art Association, the contest attracted 62 authors with 190 literary and artistic works. The authors are members of fine arts, photography, literature, theater and music departments under Provincial Association of Literature and Arts and amateur authors living and working in Binh Duong. The jury evaluated the entries and selected winning works of high artistic quality.
