One more provincial-level architectural and artistic relic

That is Tuong Hiep communal house located in Hiep An ward’s quarter 6 in Thu Dau Mot city. Accordingly, Tuong Hiep communal house is ranked as a provincial-level relic for art architecture under provincial People's Committee’s Decision No. 2068/QD-UBND dated August 15, 2023.

Tuong Hiep communal house was built in the late 19th century. In 1924, the communal house was ordained by King Khai Dinh. After more than 100 years of establishment and development, Tuong Hiep communal house today still retains its old architecture intactly as well as preserving the cultural activities of the local people. The communal house was built in the architectural style of 三 , roofed with fish-scale tiles and decorated with many horizontal lacquered boards, paintings…of high artistic value.

Provincial People's Committee has assigned provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Museum, the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot city and Hiep An ward to be responsible for managing, protecting and promoting the values ​​of the relic in accordance with the law. With this ranking decision, the total number of relics in general in the province is now 66, including 13 at national level and 53 at provincial level.
