Operations of 118 clubs helping children in adverse background maintained

Up to now, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has continued to operate 118 clubs of "Protecting and assisting children with special circumstances based on the community" in the areas and hamlets, districts, towns, and cities of the province. Clubs are established according to the decision of the People's Committee of the commune and ward together with the operating regulations. Each club has at least 20 participants who are representatives of sectors and organizations such as Executive Committee of the area, hamlet, police, Fatherland Front, Women's Union, Youth Union, Red Cross, security collaborators, child care, medical collaborators among others.

The clubs have had activities to protect and assist children with special circumstances such as helping abandoned children, helpless orphans, children with disabilities, activities to prevent and assist street children and children who have to work hard or dangerously or come into contact with toxic substances, activities to prevent sexual abuse and violence, and activities to prevent and assist juveniles in violation of the laws.
