Employees paying more attention to social welfare issues

Binh Duong has just held 4 conferences to discuss, consult, support and answer policies on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance with employees and employers. At the conferences, representatives of Binh Duong Social Insurance Agency, provincial Labor Union, relevant departments and sectors directly talked, consulted, supported and answered social welfare policies for employees as well as other issues related to social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and occupational disease insurance.

Especially, representatives of Binh Duong Social Insurance Agency, provincial Labor Union, relevant departments and agencies emphasized the benefits of participating and the risks of not participating in social insurance and health insurance, the meaning and role of policies on social insurance, health insurance; benefits when participating in social insurance for 20 years to receive pension and disadvantages when enjoying the one-time social insurance payment. After updating with new information about welfare regimes, employees raised many questions related to the settlement of benefits on sickness, maternity, labor accident, occupational disease, retirement, etc. Especially, the support regime when suffering from Covid-19 pandemic, occupational diseases were concerned by many employees, along with procedures for the payment of regimes for foreign workers. According to many opinions, social insurance and functional agencies were required to advise and support solutions to handle cases of improper implementation of the procedures to resolve regimes at enterprises, difficulties when using VssID application, procedures to register for participation, instructions for electronic transactions in submitting applications for participation in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and occupational disease insurance...

Nguyen Thi My Duyen, accountant of Song An Phat Co.Ltd. in Thu Dau Mot city said that coming to the conference, she was updated with a lot of useful information to clearly inform the company's leaders of the roles and responsibilities in implementing social welfare policies for employees and participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and occupational disease insurance in accordance with regulations. Also through this conference, the company's employees also understood more obviously about their rights and interests when participating in social insurance while seeing the superiority and humanity of the social welfare policy in general and the policy of social insurance and health insurance in particular. Ensuring long-term social welfare for people

Le Minh Ly, Director of Binh Duong Social Insurance Agency said that the organization of the conferences has aimed at listening to and receiving opinions and recommendations, grasping the situation of labor use, disseminating new policies and solving obstacles in organization for implementation; answered issues related to the legitimate rights and interests of social insurance participants and employers, thereby helping employers and employees see their roles and responsibilities and the primacy and humanity of social welfare policies in general and social insurance and health insurance policies in particular. The organization of these conferences has also contributed to raising employers and employees’ awareness of the observance of policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance as prescribed, helping employees feel secure in labor, production and business; creating social justice; contributing to stabilizing people’s lives and promoting socio-economic development.

According to Binh Duong Social Insurance Agency, these four conferences attracted the participation of more than 800 people representing businesses and employees from Thu Dau Mot city, Tan Uyen city, Thuan An city, Di An city, Ben Cat town and Bau Bang district. Many questions related to social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies were answered satisfactorily. However, for employees to promptly grasp the primacy of the social insurance policy, the benefits of participating in social insurance and the risks of not participating in social insurance, the disadvantages when employees receive the one-time social insurance payment, etc., Binh Duong Social Insurance Agency will continue organizing dialogues, thereby promptly supporting, advising and answering participants ‘difficulties.

Mrs. Ly affirmed that all reform solutions in the reception and settlement of social insurance and health insurance regimes of Vietnam Social Insurance in general and social insurance agencies of provinces and cities in particular have aimed at bringing the most optimal benefits to participants, regardless of administrative boundaries. This is a consistent goal and a cross-cutting orientation that is synchronously implemented by the entire social insurance sector from central to local levels.
