Outstanding blood donors honored

Ben Cat town’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has just held a ceremony to honor outstanding blood donors and review activities of the town’s Red Cross Society in 2016.

In 2016, the town’s Red Cross Society implemented a lot of practical activities to help the local poor and policy beneficiary households; admitted additional 841 members, bringing the total number of members so far to 8,266. The society offered help of more than VND10.4billion to policy beneficiaries and poor households through social charity programs.

On this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee honored 6 families and 62 individuals with 5-10 times of blood donation. Provincial Red Cross Society and its branch in the town also awarded the certificates of merit to 11 collectives and 10 individuals who gained excellent achievements in activities of the society in 2016.
