Phu Giao district’s Women’s Union held a meeting to review the four-year implementation of the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign.
Over the past four year, the district’s Women’s Unions at all levels actively responded to the campaign via many forms. They collected more than VND670mln through the movements of “thrift practice”, “raising piggy banks”. They also mobilized donors and their members to build and hand over 22 compassion houses worth VND360mln to needy women; donate 2 compassion houses worth VND30mln to 2 needy women in the northern mountain province of Lao Cai and 1 such house worth VND15mln to a needy woman in the southern province of Binh Phuoc; present 700 gifts to the lonely elderly and needy women on Tet and great holidays; award 40 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils…
After four years of implementing the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign, 137 collectives and 1,778 individuals were praised for their contributions to the campaign. On this occasion, 7 collectives and 12 individuals were also awarded provincial Women’s Union’s certificates of merit for their excellent achievements in the campaign between 2007 and 2010.
