In Tan Uyen city, from early morning, roads leading to the headquarters of the city’s Military Command - the military handover site 2024 were bright with flags and flowers, bustling with music urging soldiers to join the army. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Military Zone 7; Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of provincial Military Command. In 2024, Tan Uyen city selected and called 206 young people to join the army, including 168 for the Ministry of National Defense and 38 for the Ministry of Public Security. In Thu Dau Mot city, the 2024 military handover ceremony was attended by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Ta Van Dep, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of provincial Police Agency; Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee and leaders of departments, sectors of the province and city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thu Cuc, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee cum Chairwoman of the city’s Military Service Council emphasized: "The city’s Party Committee, government, people and armed forces hope and believe that young volunteers will be fully aware of their responsibilities and obligations to their country; further promote the traditions of our ancestors' generations, unite, overcome difficulties, strictly comply with the State law and military discipline...". In 2024, the city is assigned a target of recruiting 298 young people to join the army, including 250 for military service and 48 for public security service.

In Di An city, the 2024 military handover ceremony was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Chairman of provincial Military Service Council; Ho Quang Diep, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Di An city’s Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan, Political Commissar of provincial Military Command. Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of 230 new recruits, Nguyen Van Tinh Dat, a young Party member in Tan Binh ward promised to constantly strive to train and study well, uniting and excellently completing all assigned tasks to be worthy of the heroic revolutionary historical tradition of Di An hometown.

Promoting traditions

At the Tay Nam Tunnels Historical Relic Area in Ben Cat town’s An Tay Commune, the military handover ceremony was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council. In 2024, Ben Cat town will have 192 young volunteers, including 155 for military service and 37 for public security service. After  receiving words of encouragement and congratulatory flowers from leaders of the town, these young volunteers set off to the units, namely the Region 4 Navy; Commando Brigade 429; Regiment 4 under the Division 5; Guard Battalion 180 under the Military Zone 7; provincial Military Command and Police Agency.

At the military handover site in Thuan An city-based Thuan An Hoa War Zone, there were 243 outstanding youngsters who set out to perform military service and public security service. The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Tam, Chairman of Thuan An city’s People's Committee said the city is very proud to have many young people volunteering to join the army, especially young Party members and women. He reminded: "New recruits in the new environment should uphold the heroic tradition of the Vietnamese People's Army, strictly observe military discipline, strive to study, train and complete the assigned tasks well, being worthy of the love and expectations of the homeland...". Among the 243 new recruits in Thuan An city, there are 200 performing military service and 43 performing public security service...

At War Zone D Memorial Area in North Tan Uyen district, the military handover ceremony was attended by Vo Van Ba, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission. This year, North Tan Uyen district has had 129 young volunteers, including 95 for military service and 34 for public security service. Party member Ngo Duc Trung in Binh My commune decided to write a voluntary application to join the army with the desire of devoting his youth to the Fatherland. Ngo Van Ngan, father of the new recruit shared: "Our family has a revolutionary tradition. Therefore, when knowing that Trung intended to voluntarily register for military service, our family immediately supported him. Training and studying in the military will help Trung get more bravery in life...".

Dedicating youth strength

The 2024 military handover ceremony in Phu Giao district was attended by Nguyen Chi Trung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission. In 2024, Phu Giao district is assigned a target of recruiting 202 young people, including 165 performing military service and 37 performing public security service. After the ceremony, the new recruits of Phu Giao district departed to work as soilders at the Guard Battalion 180 under provincial Military Command, Brigade 429 under the Commando Force and Regiment 271.

The military handover ceremony at Dau Tieng district’s Cultural Center was attended by Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee. This year, Dau Tieng district handed over 219 young people who met the standards of health and educational level... At the ceremony, leaders of the province and Dau Tieng district presented fresh flower wreaths, encouraging young volunteers to join the army, expressing the responsibility of heroic Dau Tieng youth to the Fatherland.

At the Bau Bang Victory Monument relic site, young volunteers from Bau Bang district also joined the army. The ceremony was attended by Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission. This year, Bau Bang has had 187 young volunteers, including 152 performing military service and 36 performing public security service. New recruits from Bau Bang district were assigned to units, namely Brigade 101, Naval Region 4, provincial Military Command, Commando Battalion 60 under the Military Zone 7, Guard Battalion 180 under the Military Zone 7.
