In celebration of the 72nd anniversary of Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Elderly (June 6), Dau Tieng district’s Association for Elderly People has mobilized donors to present more than 100 gifts worth VND200,000 each to elderly people with difficulties.

The association also awarded the mementoes “For the career of caring for the Vietnamese elderly and upholding their role” to three vice-chairmen of the Associations for Elderly People in Minh Tan, Minh Hoa and Thanh Tuyen communes. On this occasion, the Associations for Elderly People in Long Hoa, Long Tan and An Lap communes set up hamlet-level southern folk opera and taichi clubs and congratulated nearly 200 people aged between 70 and 80 on their longevity with VND300,000 for each.

In the coming time, the district’s Mobilization Board of the Association for Elderly People will team up with the local medical sector to give health care to the elderly with more than VND1bln; mobilized sponsors to provide members with non-interest rate loans for a stable life…
