In the morning of November 8, Binh Duong provincial Farmers' Association held a ceremony to receive sponsorship gifts and distribute essential kits for female farmer members to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. At the program, the Standing Committee of the Vietnamese Farmers' Union presented a symbolic board with the donation of 2,550 sets of essential utensils worth VND 2,167,500.000 received by the provincial Farmers' Association. After that, essential kits were given to female farmer members and transported to districts, towns and cities for farmers' associations at all levels to give to disadvantaged women. The essential kit includes 21 items such as alcohol sanitizer, mask, washing powder, etc.
This is a program implemented by the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association to promptly help and support farmer members in provinces and cities affected by the Covid-19 epidemic; at the same time, they continue to implement the cooperation between the Vietnam Farmers' Association, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam (KOICA) in the protection of women and children and Vietnamese girls at risk of gender-based violence and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
