Over 2,700 dengue fever outbreaks handled

As of late October 2022, the province recorded over 13,500 cases of dengue fever, an increase of 107.5% over the same period last year, with 20 deaths. Localities with a high number of dengue cases included Tan Uyen town with 2,745 cases, Di An city with 2,204 cases, Ben Cat town with 2,035 cases, Thu Dau Mot city with 1,837 cases, Thuan An city with 1,651 cases and Bau Bang with 1,010 cases.

To date, the whole province has recorded more than 2,730 dengue fever outbreaks. Provincial Department of Health has coordinated with local authorities to handle more than 2,700 dengue fever outbreaks (or 99.9% of total), including more than 1,600 outbreaks with larva eliminated and nearly 1,100 outbreaks with larva eliminated in combination with spraying chemical to kill mosquitoes. Leader of provincial Department of Health also said that the current situation of dengue fever in the province has decreased sharply, without deaths.
