Over the past five years, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board for the Program on Poverty Reduction and Employment Creation cooperated with the local functional agencies to disburse more than 41.8bln in loan from many different sources for 3,017 turns of poor households to develop homebased business.

 

The district also opened 24 vocational-oriented classes for 962 rural laborers and demobees; introduced jobs for 2,583 laborers; considered and disbursed more than VND5.9bln in loan from Plan 120 for 66 job creation projects, creating stable jobs for 778 laborers; provided regular allowances for more than 7,500 turns of needy people…

 

Thanks to its above policies, Phu Giao district helped 3,844 households escape poverty over the past five years. The total number of the poor households herein has so far reduced to 675 or 3.49% of total.
