Over 30,000 billion VND to support jobs in 2012-2015 period

According to the National Target Program on Employment and Vocational Training for the period of 2012-2015, which has been approved by the Prime Minister, the total budget for the program is 30,656 billion VND to support vocational training and job creation nationwide.

The program will support job creation for 0.7 to 0.8 million employees through loan projects for job creation from the National Employment Fund.

The program aims to support vocational training development and job creation, boosting labour export and labour market development to meet the requirements of national development and international economic integration, particularly in rural areas, in 2012-2015.

In particular, the program also supports the development of 130 key jobs at national, regional and international levels; establishing 26 high-quality schools, five of which attain the international level, contributing to raising the rate of trained employees to 40 percent by 2015 and increasing the percentage of workers finding jobs through job introduction centres to 30%.

The program also aims to support vocational training and improve foreign language and necessary knowledge for 80,000-120,000 employees who are from poor households, ethnic minority families or close relatives of policy beneficiary families, families which have had agricultural land taken, or are working abroad.

In addition, the program supports the training of 5,000 high-qualified workers to meet the demands of the country receiving the workers; 60% of trained employees, 100% of employees are provided necessary knowledge before going to work abroad./.
