Over 300 people in Phu Giao take part in voluntary blood donation

On December 7, Phu Giao district’s Steering Committee for Humanitarian Blood Donation coordinated with HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center to organize the 8th voluntary blood donation campaign of 2022.

The blood donation campaign attracted more than 300 people, including officials, civil servants, volunteers... Through screening, there were 249 people eligible to donate blood. The organizers collected 249 units of blood, equivalent to 87,150 milliliters of blood. The amount of blood was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center for preservation, serving emergency and treatment for patients in need of blood.

Since early this year, the district’s Steering Committee for Humanitarian Blood Donation has mobilized and received 1,931 units of blood, equivalent to 675,850 milliliters of blood.
