Over 5,200 clients under debt restructuring due to Covid-19 epidemic

In the first 6 months of 2022, province-based system of 69 credit institutions had the total outstanding loans of more than VND 94.78trillion, due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic. Of these, credit institutions restructured their debts to 5,218 clients with the total outstanding loans of more than VND15.01trillion.

Since January 23, 2020, sales of new loans to support clients to overcome difficulties have reached more than VND 252.82 trillion, with the number of clients with total outstanding loans at the end of the period being 17,106. The total outstanding loans of clients who were not transferred to the bad debt group, due to the restructuring of the repayment term, exemption and reduction of interest and the realization of keeping the debt group unchanged was more than VND11.3trillion, with 1,203 clients.

Currently, province-based credit institutions continue evaluating and determining the impact of clients, due to the Covid-19 pandemic while coordinating with clients to review production and business plans for appropriate advice and support.
