Over 6,800 farmers in Dau Tieng recognized as good ones

Early January 15, Dau Tieng district’s Farmers Association held a conference to review its activities in 2014.

The district’s Farmers Association and its affiliates excelled at propagandizing the Party and State’s policies and laws among officials and members; admitted additional 728 members, bringing the total number of members to 10,659. The emulation movement of “farmers helping each other in economic development and poverty escape” also saw in-depth development. According to the result of the year-end selection, there were 6,820 members winning the title of “good farmer”. Among them, 22 were recognized as good farmers at central level, 620 at provincial level, 1,606 at district level and 4,572 at grassroots level.

The district’s Farmers Association and its affiliates also disbursed more than VND10.7bln from the central source and VND14.5bln from the Bank for Social Policies for 1,805  members to develop home based business.
