Evening September 1st, Becamex ISC in collaboration with provincial Buddhist Sangha and Thien Hoa philanthropic association organized a Cultural festival of Vegetarian cuisine in Vu Lan season at Hoa Loi commercial streets, Hoa Phu ward, TDM City.Purposes of the festival were to show gratitude to parents’ merits and introduce abundance of vegetarian cuisine as well healthiness and environmental benefits of vegetarianism. At the festival, thousands of people listened to presentation “Meanings of Vu Lan season and benefits of vegetarian” of nun Thich Nu Huong Nhu, Buddhology Doctor; enjoyed free vegetarian buffet with more than 100 vegetarian dishes cooked by over 60 units supplying vegetarian foods…The festival also included a special cultural show with performances showing gratitude to parents and praising role and value of filial devotion.The festival’s expense reached VND1.5 bln sponsored by Number One Mini supermarket (under Becamex ISC) and more than 60 units supplying vegetarian foods, charitable groups, philanthropic kitchens at Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Long An and HCM City.Reported by T.Minh – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
