Over 83% of population in Thuan An join health insurance

On July 7, Thuan An city’s People's Committee held a conference to review the local implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies for the first six months of the year and set out orientations for the last six months of 2022.

Thuan An city has always determined that social insurance and health insurance policies play a very important role, are a goal, motivation and a parallel task in the process of socio-economic development. Therefore, the city’s People's Committee is always interested in leading and directing the effective implementation of this work. In the first 6 months of 2022, the number of people participating in social insurance and compulsory health insurance reached 86.63% of the plan. The number of people joining  voluntary social insurance,  unemployment insurance and household health insurance reached 25.10%, 86.60% of the plan. In addition, the number of development units was 277 units, with 1,258 employees. Thanks to active propaganda, universal health insurance in the first 6 months of 2022 reached 83.51%...

At the conference, leaders of the city asked for the social insurance agency to further strengthen coordination with mass organizations to widely propagandize among people to increase the coverage of social insurance and health insurance...
