Over VND 100 million spent on supporting disadvantaged households

Early April 26, North Tan Uyen district’s Red Cross Society coordinated with Tan Thanh town’s Red Cross Association to organize a "Zero dong” market-day program with the theme of "Community cohesion - Spreading charitable actions".

The program was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Vo Van Ba, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial  Party Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs

Speaking at the program, Mr. Loi spoke highly of provincial Red Cross Associations at all levels in organizing the "Zero dong” market-day program in many places in the province to support disadvantaged households. He also thanked units, donors who have accompanied provincial Red Cross Associations at all levels in sharing difficulties with poor households while wanting households with difficult circumstances to make efforts to rise up, stabilizing their lives.

On this occasion, 100 disadvantaged households were given free vouchers with a total value of over VND100 million. This is also one of the local practical activities on the occasion of the Humanitarian Month 2023; International Red Crescent- Red Cross Day, May 8.
