In the first half of 2013, Tan Uyen district’s Women’s Union mobilized many different sources to help 1,497 women get more than VND10bln in loan to develop homebased business for a stable life.

The district’s Women’s Union also maintained the movement of “Women helping each other in economic development” with 923 poor women getting more than VND1.1bln in loan from 467 well-off ones. The “Saving day for poor women” campaign also collected VND255mln, providing 215 women with VND255mln in loan. Meanwhile, the model of “Tan Uyen’s women with credit saving” collected more than VND232mln with participation of 4.250 members. The figure has lifted the model’s savings to nearly VND7bln with 359 groups and 11,126 members… In addition, the district’s Women’s Union and its affiliates introduced jobs at firms to 270 women and generated jobs at home with stable income for 81 others.
