Over VND19.2billion spent on public healthcare

In 2018, provincial Red Cross Society and its branches actively coordinated with the local sector of healthcare and some relevant units to disseminate contents on public healthcare; environmental hygiene; how to prevent flu, measles, foot-and-mouth disease; food safety and hygiene…They also teamed up with private clinics, health stations, delegations of physicians…to provide free medical check-up for more than 252,000 patients, including workers, poor pupils and locals.

In addition, they organized 15 first-aid classes for 2,141 officials, members and volunteers; set up 12 red cross first-aid points on and 250 mobile first-aid points along streets that traffic accidents frequently occur. They also held 1,640 propaganda shows on prevention of foot-and-mouth disease, HIV/AIDS, avian flu, dengue fever, fire and explosion; food hygiene-safety, environmental hygiene…for 76,619 people. The total value of healthcare activities from them was more than VND19.2billion, helping 361,556 needy cases.
