Over VND20.6bln spent on paying gift visit to policy beneficiaries on occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day

Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) has just reviewed the result of organizing activities on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27) and submitted it to provincial People’s Committee.

Accordingly, provincial DoLISA coordinated with sectors, mass organizations and localities to make dissemination of information of the history of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the “paying debt of gratitude” work; honor outstanding war invalids, martyrs’ families and those who rendered great services to the nation; mobilize organizations and individuals to support policy beneficiary families…On this occasion, leaders of the province, departments, sectors and localities in the province visited and presented gifts to 56,331 policy beneficiaries with a total expense of more than VND20.6bln, including VND3.4bln from central State budget, VND11.5bln from provincial State budget, VND1.6bln from State budget of localities in the province…

Localities in the province also built and handed over 2 gratitude houses worth VND130mln to policy beneficiary families; presented 23 saving books worth VND29mln to those with merits to the revolution. In general, policy beneficiaries in the province felt very glad at the attention of authorities at all levels, businesses and donors, which not only took place on War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, but also on other great holidays.
