Over VND22.7billion spent on helping the poor, AO victims

In 2019, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have continued promoting the movement of “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange (AO) victims”. The movement has also received enthusiastic response from enterprises and people from all strata.

It is known that on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019, as many as 704 enterprises responded to the movement. Provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels mobilized organizations and individuals to offer help of more than VND22.7billion. Particularly, they built 8 “red cross” houses worth VND80million each for households with extremely difficult circumstances; donated 59,631 gifts worth VND300,000 and VND1million each to poor households and AO victims…
