Over VND660million raised for Phu Giao’s Fund for the Poor

Phu Giao district’s Fund for the Poor last year mobilized more than VND660million from people from all strata.

The district’s Mobilization Board of the Fund for the Poor also advised the district’s People’s Committee to build, donate 16 “great unity” houses to poor households with a total expense of VND840million; upgrade 11 “great unity” and gratitude houses for policy beneficiary and poor families; mobilized member organizations of the district’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) to build and hand over 11 houses of compassion to the poor with a total cost of more than VND450million…

The district’s FFCs at all levels also coordinated with their member organizations to actively create capital sources to support members and locals to develop home based business and rise up out of poverty by many forms…with more than VND1.26billion.
