Over VND8billion spent on helping women in economic development

Under the campaign of “supporting women in economic development”, since early this year, Phu Giao district’s Women’s Union has continued disbursed more than VND8billion in loan for 1,745 women to develop homebased business.

The district’s Women’s Union has also teamed up with relevant units to disburse more than VND1.2billion for 62 officials and members to foster production models. There were more than 4,000 women getting loans from the local branch of the bank for social policies with total outstanding loans of more than VND80billion as of September 2017.

Besides, the district’s Women’s Union and its branches have also coordinated with relevant agencies to organize 9 classes on sci-tech transfer, 12 classes on vocational training for more than 400 women; 2 groups on sewing shoes for export on contract…
