OVs in Laos support Truong Sa islanders

The overseas Vietnamese (OV) community in Luang Prabang, Laos, has raised more than US$1,300 to support the residents and soldiers garrisoned on the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago of Khanh Hoa province. Community Chairman Ly Phi Hoi handed over the money donated by 125 Overseas Vietnamese families to Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung at a ceremony in Vientiane on April 29.Ambassador Hung expressed his gratitude to the people of Luang Prabang and said he hopes that they will strengthen their solidarity, follow the laws in their country of residence and continue promoting the special Vietnam-Laos relationship.Overseas Vietnamese in the capital, Vientiane, and Xiangkhouang, Khammouan, Bolikhamxai, Savannakhet, Salavan and Attapeu provinces have also recently given more than US$3,000 in support of Truong Sa islanders.VOV
