P&G Group to pour additional US$ 100 million into Binh Duong for production expansion

Early April 25, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee received and worked with Priyamvada Srivastava, General Director of Vietnam Procter & Gamble (P&G) Group and leaders of Binh Duong P&G and Ben Cat P&G factory.

At the working session, Mr.Danh applauded P&G Group for choosing Binh Duong to invest in production for nearly 30 years. Especially, he spoke highly of the efforts by the corporation in preventing, controlling Covid-19, ensuring a safe working environment; well performing social welfare, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

He emphasized that Binh Duong is giving priority to attracting investment in high-tech industries that are less labor intensive, environmentally friendly with high added value; financial, logistics services and other modern services; auxiliary industries, high-tech agriculture, especially attracting investment in the local science and technology industrial park on the basis of industry 4.0. This is an advantageous field of P&G Group. Therefore, Binh Duong hopes that the group will continue making investment in the province.

Speaking at the working session, Mrs. Priyamvada Srivastava said that up to now, P&G has two factories, specialized in manufacturing Ariel, Downy, Febreze, Joy products and Gillette razors in Binh Duong and a representative office in Ho Chi Minh city. P&G has invested about US$ 300 million in Binh Duong. In the coming time, P&G Group will further invest about US$ 100 million in the province. The ambition of P&G Group is that Vietnam will become the focus of modern production in the group's production chain in the world.

P&G is also committed to investing in Binh Duong towards making green transformation, sustainable development, training high-quality human resources and joining hands with Binh Duong in enhancing social responsibility in order to protect the environment and employees.
