P&G Vietnam grants scholarships excellent-but-poor students

On the new school year of 2011-2012, Procter & Gamble Vietnam Ltd. and the provincial Labor Union jointly granted 150 scholarships, each worth VND600,000 and 3,000 notebooks to local talented disadvantaged students.

The scholarship granting program has been implemented during the past 14 years and helped over 1,500 poor students pursue their study.

The company general director Emre Olcer, shared “the biggest goal of the company is to improve living standard for people. This not only offers international quality products, improve living standard for people but spur community assistance for children’s educational support”.
