National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on September 2 held separate meetings in New York with top legislators from Mongolia and Mozambique to discuss relations between their countries and Vietnam.

At the meetings on the side lines of the 4th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia Zandaakhuu Enkhbold expressed his desire to bolster economic cooperation between the two countries.

Referring to the historical and cultural relations between Vietnam and Mongolia, he called for boosting relations and making use of the potentialities in all fields.

Mr Hung congratulated Mongolia on its selection to host the 11th ASEM summit in 2016 and stated Vietnam is willing to share experience with Mongolia to successfully organize the event.

In addition, he voiced his hope that Mongolia would support Vietnam at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) forums.

Speaker Enkhbold in turn underscored the point that Mongolia stands ready to implement reached agreements and cooperate with Vietnam in the fields of economics, culture, education and health care.

Talking with Speaker Veronica Macamo of the Mozambique Parliament, Hung proposed that the two sides continue to create a niche for their investors, maintain exchange visits and closely coordinate at regional and international forums.

For her part, Speaker Macamo said strong development of relations between the two countries has laid a solid foundation for them to boost cooperation in a wide variety of fields.

She revealed the Mozambique Parliament would like to share legislative and supervision experience with the Vietnam National Assembly and invited Mr Hung to visit Mozambique in the coming time.
