Patrol Squad 171 detects many violations

Over the first 3 months of this year, social security and order in Thuan An city was stable. While police of wards, communes and professional teams strengthened patrols, the 171 Police Patrol Squad of Thuan An City also regularly organized patrols to promptly suppress criminals on roads.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Trung, Captain of Road Traffic Police - Social Order Team of Thuan An City, said that since the beginning of the year, the local Patrol Squad 171 has carried out more than 100 patrols, with over 700 officers participating.  As a result, the team detected, recorded, and handled more than 400 cases of traffic order and security violations, seized 343 vehicles and 194 papers of all kinds. During the patrols, Patrol Squad 171 also promptly handled dozens of cases related to information security.

Specifically, around 22:00 on March 13, Patrol Squad 171 of Thuan An City Police was patrolling at Binh Thuan 2 Ward, Thuan Giao Ward, they discovered 5 persons gambling at cards. At the scene, the police team seized nearly 2 million VND related to the 5 gamblers. Previously, Squad 171 also discovered Nguyen Van S. (born 2001, Binh Thuan hometown) hiding drugs while driving in Viet Sing residential area. S. confessed that he had bought the drugs from another person to use.
