Paying attention to resolving issues proposed by voters

Early January 3, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Doan Ngoc Nhu Tam, deputy of provincial People's Council and deputies of Thu Dau Mot city’s People's Council had a meeting with voters of Tuong Binh Hiep ward in Thu Dau Mot city after the regular year-end sessions of the 10th provincial People's Council and Thu Dau Mot city’s 12th  People's Council.

At the meeting, the local voters expressed their joy after hearing a brief report on the socio-economic development results of the province and Thu Dau Mot city in 2023. Deputies of the People's Councils of the province and the city also gave answers from departments, sectors and units on a number of recommendations and feedback sent to delegates by voters before the meeting. The local voters also presented a number of petitions on making investment in transport infrastructure; dredging and clearing canals; some problems of the Suoi Giua commercial housing project...

Sharing with voters, Vo Van Minh, Chairman of provincial People's Committee said that the province will spend many resources on investing in projects and works in localities, includingTuong Binh Hiep ward in Thu Dau Mot city, for urban rejuvenation to develop a synchronous traffic infrastructure system; preserve and develop Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village, promoting and preserving the local cultural space. Mr. Minh asked for Thu Dau Mot city to receive and handle the local voters' petitions on urban drainage, flood prevention during the rainy season... under the local competence. He also noted the local voters' petitions related to a number of projects in the area and said that the province is checking these petitions and functional agencies are handling them under their authority and will answer them in the coming time.

*On the morning of the same day, Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council, along with delegates of the People's Councils of the province and Ben Cat town, had a meeting with voters in Ben Cat town’s An Tay commune after the regular year-end meeting of the province and town’s People's Councils.

After hearing reports on the implementation of the resolutions of the two-level People's Council and the results of implementing socio-economic development tasks in 2023; the results of the two-level People's Council activities in 2023; the results of the regular meetings of the People's Council of the province and town at the end of 2023, answers for petitions in the previous meeting, the local voters expressed high unanimity. They also raised a number of petitions on difficulties in dividing land plots, complicated traffic order and safety situation, environmental protection... Delegates of the province and town’s People's Councils received and explained a number of issues within their authority while taking note of the remaining opinions to transfer them to relevant authorities for consideration and answer in the next meeting.

*On the same day, a group of provincial People's Council deputies, led by Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council and deputies of Thuan An City People's Council had a meeting with voters in Hung Dinh, Lai Thieu, Lai Thieu, Thuan Giao, Binh Chuan wards and An Son commune after the regular sessions at the end of 2023.

At the session, the local voters raise some petitions on guarantee of security and order before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2024; management of illegal production, trading, storage and transportation of firecrackers; the risk of electrical insecurity on some roads; the construction of more schools, especially high schools at the learning needs of students; the shortage of drugs and medical supplies at public hospitals; the slow progress of upgrading and expanding National Highway 13, directly affecting people's lives...

*On the afternoon of January 3, Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council and delegates of the People's Councils of the province and Ben Cat town met with voters in Chanh Phu Hoa ward.

At the meeting, delegates of the two-level People's Council responded to voters' opinions during the previous meeting. The local voters also presented a number of petitions on the situation of small traders at Chanh Luu market encroaching on the sidewalk, affecting traffic and losing urban aesthetics; the planning of the Paris dam and Chanh Phu Hoa Water Plant that has not been implemented, affecting the lives, interests and rights of people; the construction situation on agricultural land that needs to be strictly managed; the issuance of health insurance cards to young people performing People's Police duties; the grant of land to build quarter 8’s office so that people have a place to meet...

The delegation and local leaders also informed the local voters of a number of opinions within their authority while recording other opinions and then transferring them to relevant authorities for consideration and resolution.
