Paying gift visits to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors
On the occassion the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), the province has organized delegations of leaders to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors. These activities not only reflect the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and express the deep gratitude of today’s generation for the contributions and sacrifices of these individuals, but also serve as a source of encouragement—helping them further uphold noble traditions and contribute to the ongoing development and prosperity of their homeland.
Gratitude through meaningful activities
Early April 9, provincial delegation, led by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation visited and presented gifts to Nguyen Nghiem, a resident of Hiep Thanh ward and one of the soldiers who participated in the liberation forces of Thu Dau Mot. He was accompanied by Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee, along with leaders of the city’s People’s Committee and other relevant units.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Secretary of provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi warmly inquired about Nguyen Nghiem’s health and family life, expressed deep gratitude for his contributions and soldiers who participated in liberating the South, unifying the country, contributing to bringing independence and freedom to the nation.
Also on the morning of April 9, provincial delegation, led by Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Committee for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors in Bau Bang district. Joining the delegation was Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
In each visiting place, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to families with contributions to the revolution while acknowledging their significant contributions to the struggle for national independence. Specifically, the delegation visited Nguyen Thi Gai, a former member of the Urban Commando Unit in Long Nguyen commune’s Long Thanh hamlet; Nguyen Van Quang, former Deputy Platoon Leader of Phu Loi Battalion in Long Nguyen commune’s hamlet 3 and Le Hong Quang, former soldier of Phu Loi Battalion in Lai Hung commune’s Lai Khe hamlet.
Mr. Nhan emphasized that caring for the lives of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors is a meaningful way to show gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions. It also demonstrates the Party and State's concern and commitment to the well-being of those who served the revolution. These individuals are truly deserving of special care and recognition from the society.
Nguyen Phu Cuong, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee affirmed that supporting policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors has always been a key part of the district’s social welfare work. These activities not only honor those who sacrificed for national liberation, but also serve as a source of motivation to foster solidarity and mutual support throughout the society.
Deep gratitude
As part of the province's planned activities, on the morning of April 9, provincial delegation, led by Nguyen Thi My Hang, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission, visited and presented gifts to six policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors in Thu Dau Mot city. She was accompanied by representatives from provincial departments, agencies and leaders of Thu Dau Mot city and localities.
Accordingly, the delegation visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Ruc in Phu Loi ward; Nguyen Viet Phuc, former Deputy Platoon Leader and Standing Deputy Head of the Phu Loi Battalion Liaison Committee; Nguyen Thi Mot, who directly hoisted the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam on the roof of the Phu Cuong administrative building in Hiep Thanh ward; Cao Thi Huong, the People's Public Security Hero of the Armed Forces in Chanh Nghia ward; Tran Xuan Thanh, a former military intelligence and commando office and Nguyen Ngoc Duong, former Company Commander and Head of Phu Loi Battalion Liaison Committee in Phu Hoa ward.
In the visiting places, on behalf of the delegation, Mrs. Hang engaged in heartfelt conversations, offering encouragement and inquiring about the health and daily lives of the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. She expressed her deep respect and gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the armed forces, policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors in the struggle for national liberation. She also expressed her hope that they will continue promoting revolutionary traditions and family traditions.
In addition to provincial gifts, on this occasion, Thu Dau Mot city presented each beneficiary with a gift worth VND 2 million (including a gift and VND 1.5 million in cash).
The local policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors were deeply moved and delighted by the care and encouragement from provincial and local leaders. Nguyen Viet Phuc, from Hiep Thanh Ward, shared:“Besides the regular support policies, the encouragement from leaders at all levels during holidays and special occasions truly motivates me and my family. Though I’m old now, I still actively participate in local movements, contributing to making our community greener, cleaner and more thriving”.
