Binh Duong green festival was firstly initiated by Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Green Network of LiveLearn to promote environment-friendly behaviors of the people, cadres, officials, enterprises, individuals, and groups. The festival will be started by May 27 from 7:00 to 16:00 as part of World Environment Day. Local people participate into “waste for gift” program As affirmed by Mrs. Vo Thi Ngoc Hanh, Deputy Director of DONRE, the festival will be very attractive in terms of environment-friendly behaviors. Attendants will join in photo and picture exhibition, painting contest, and group painting. They also are encouraged by prizes ranging from VND 500,000 to 100,000.The open stores are very interesting for participants to draw pictures and recycle materials to create tiny usable items. They, then, can take whatever they have created home.In the meantime, the second program of “waste for gift” will attract more local people to bring waste paper, used plastic bags, used tin and cans.Besides, Mrs. Vo Thi Ngoc Hanh announced that 100 volunteers will be in uniform to guide participants into activities.
