Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company (PHR)’s profit last year was only equivalent to 58% of that of 2012. But, the company still paid more attention to taking care of laborers’ lives.

PHR is now home to 5,890 laborers. Despite difficulties last year, PHR still well realized policies on social insurance, organized mid-shift meals, provided labor protective equipment for laborers and regularly gave healthcare to them. Many cultural-sports activities were also organized for laborers…In 2013 alone, laborers herein enjoyed the average income of VND6.7mln per capita per month.

Last year, PHR spent VND6.9bln on visiting policy beneficiary families, retired officials and workers with difficulties; building gratitude and charity houses…The company also mobilized its staff to support VND500mln for people hit by natural disasters.

Since 2008, PHR has helped 2,552 laborers get more than VND45bln in loan for stabilizing their lives. It has also set up a loan support fund, providing VND3.2bln in loan for 1,255 laborers to develop home based business.

Under the program of “Trade Union house”, since 2008, PHR has funded construction of houses for 832 needy trade unionists with between VND30mln and VND50mln each. It is known that the total cost of the program was contributed by the company’s staff.

Obviously, PHR has not only excelled at business and production, but also taken the lead in taking care of laborers’ lives, contributing help them stabilize their lives and make contributions to the development of the company.
