Phu Giao District: More than 400 people take part in the third voluntary blood donation in 2023

On May 29, Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Phu Giao District in collaboration with Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) held the third voluntary blood donation session in 2023. 

More than 400 civil servants, public employees, teachers, and trade union members throughout the district took part in this blood donation campaign. After screening and rapid test, 351 people were eligible to donate blood.  As a result, the total blood collected was 351 units, equivalent to 122,850ml. All this blood was given to the Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital.

From the beginning of this year, Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation of Phu Giao district has organized 3 rounds of voluntary blood donation, and received 1,001 blood units, equivalent to 350,350ml. In addition, the Steering Committee has mobilized people to participate in "Red Spring Festival" organized by the Provincial Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation, resulting in 48 blood units being collected. Thus, the total number of bloods donated in the district over the past 5 months is 1,049 units, equivalent to 367,150ml, reaching 51.17% of the delivery target in 2023.
