Phu Giao district’s Party Committee, on September 17, coordinated with Phuoc Thanh province’s Liaison Committee to organize a get-together to mark the 52nd anniversary of the Victory of Phuoc Thanh (September 18, 1961-September 18, 2013).

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the heroic tradition of Phuoc Thanh province’s people and army, making the glorious victory of Phuoc Thanh. Upholding the heroic tradition of Phuoc Thanh’s victory, Phu Giao district’s Party, government and people have constantly risen up to well realize the local construction and development cause and taken fruits in all socio-economic, security-national defence aspects. Particularly, the average income per capital is VND27.1mln a year. The annual economic growth reaches 12.6%. Economic structure continues positively shifting towards growth of industrial and services proportions and gradual reduction of agricultural proportion. There is a reduction about the ratio of poor households under the province’s new poverty line.

On this occasion, the old Song Be River belonging to Vinh Hoa and Phuoc Hoa communes, where hundreds of revolutionary cadres and soldiers were killed by hostile forces, was recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.
