Phu Giao: Per capita average income in rural areas estimated at VND 72.5 million

According to a report by Phu Giao district’s People's Committee, in 2022, the local people’s per capita average income in the district under new rural criteria was estimated at VND 72.5 million per person per year, or 100.69% of the year’s plan and up 6.15% compared to 2021.

The district’s production value of the whole economic sector was estimated at more than VND20.94 trillion. Of these, the district’s value of agricultural and forestry production was estimated at more than VND 5.45 trillion, or 100.5% of the year’s plan and up 7.31% compared to 2021. The district’s value of industrial and handicraft production was estimated at VND5.18 trillion, or 100.06% of the year’s plan and up 12.18% over the same period. The district’s total retail sales revenue of goods and services was more than VND 10.3 trillion, or 100.01% of the year’s plan and up 21.01% over the same period.

The structure between cultivation and animal husbandry in the local economy continued shifting, with the proportion of livestock accounting for 52%, down 0.3% compared to 2021; cultivation accounting for 48%, an increase of 0.3% compared to 2021. The whole district had 8 industrial products voted to meet the criteria for selecting typical rural industrial products at district level and there were 6 products recognized as typical rural industrial ones, 3 out 6 products recognized as typical rural industrial ones at regional level...
