Phu Giao responds to national week on clean water-environmental hygiene

*Unity houses donated to the poor on National Reunification Day

A meeting in response to the National Week on Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene 2011 from April 28 to May 6 was held at Phu Giao district’s Cultural Center on April 27.

At the meeting, participants actively got involved in many significant activities, including taking part in a parade along main streets, cleaning up streets, mobilizing the local people to save water resources…

This meeting aimed to raise public awareness of protecting clean water resources and keeping environmental hygiene and urban beauty, contributing to raising the quality of life and protecting the local people’s health.

*On the occasion of National Reunification Day, April 30 and International Day, May 1, Phu Giao district’s Fatherland Front Committee and Mobilization Board of the Fund for the Poor mobilized businesses to make contributions for building unity houses for the poor in Tan Hiep commune.

It is known that Vietcombank’s Binh Duong Branch donated three unity houses worth VND90mln each to poor households in hamlets 1 and 4 of Tan Hiep commune.
