Phu Giao’s agro-forestry production value reaches VND3.77trillion

In 2017, Phu Giao district’s agro-forestry production value was estimated at VND3.77trillion, up 5.63% compared to 2016. The local agricultural structure was shifted towards the growth of cultivation. The proportion of cultivation accounted for 69.5% of the local agricultural structure while the proportion of animal husbandry occupied 30.5%.

Currently, the district’s total area for cultivation is more than 41,890 hectares, including more than 3,145 hectares for annual crops and more than 38,750 hectares for perennial crops, up 659 hectares compared to 2016. The district’s total herd of poultry and cattle is more than 1.28million heads of poultry and cattle, up 22.3% against 2016. Particularly, there are more than 160,500 pigs, more than 1.12million fowls and 308 buffaloes.
